Hi, namasté, & bonjour!

I'm Maz, currently designing Canada's Best Insurance App at Goose. Earlier, I led interface design for Acko, a fintech unicorn in India.

I deeply care about people, and recently developed an interest in sustainability and futurism. These stem from a recent visit to the Designmuseum in Copenhagen, and the Futurium in Berlin.

Goose is a consumer insurance provider offering a range of products such as Life, Travel, Renters, Pet and more. These products are distributed via an iOS and Android application across the US and Canada (En & Fr).

When I joined in 2019, Goose was a travel insurance app strictly serving Canadians. A key aspect of my work has been to scale the app's experience across new verticals and into the US market; while continuously solving for enhanced usability and delight.

Code For Fun is a non-profit organization providing innovative computer science education to K-12 students, and professional development for teachers. Servane explained that her customers were struggling to find information, book courses without contacting support, had no way to manage their enrolled courses online, and did not have a very high opinion of the website when polled.

We set out to redesign the Code For Fun website improving UX and visual design across static pages, course discovery & registration, and introduce an all-new account dashboard.

ACKO project glimpse

Acko is India's first digital native insurer, founded in 2017 and a unicorn since 2021. We designed V1, where I led interface design across web, iOS & Android. Additionally, I designed Acko's brand identity (logo) and art directed our product visuals.

Indian consumers have traditionally bought motor insurance offline. Our goal was to create an online experience that makes buying insurance as simple as purchasing an item from an e-commerce platform. We worked on multiple product features, including purchase of car and motorcycle insurance, an automobile self-inspection UI, and the claims experience. Our product design enabled the sale 600M+ policies, and supported rapid growth.

Circle was born at the Centre For Digital Media, to solve a problem that employees often face within large organizations: It's hard to meet new people in different teams and make meaningful connections.

My contribution to this project was to conceptualize relevant features and apply product thinking to solve any problems that may arise in a user journey. I also wrote the narrative, & recorded and edited the audio for the video shown alongside. Some of our team members are currently testing the prototype within companies.

Session Games discovered a way for brands to advertise within their games in a manner that doesn’t disrupt a players experience. They incorporate brands within mobile games through strategic product placements, customized promotions, and in-game events. Session reached out to our team to create a performance report for these brand partners that summarises their advertising outcomes.

The project involved identifying the relevant KPI’s for these ads, pulling relevant data from the Session Games server, and creating a user-friendly dashboard for these KPI’s. As a product manager, I set up a roadmap, conducted weekly sprints and governed feature scope to achieve this desirable outcome.

Intégral is a network of 7 studios set up by Swiss designer Ruedi Baur in 1989. IRB Paris works on design projects for political and cultural institutions across the world. Notable projects include the Centre Pompidou, Köln-Bonn Airport, The Rodin Museum, and Vienna Airport.

I completed an internship here from September 1st, 2016 to February 24th, 2017. This A5-sized report compiles the work done by me over the six months. It was a request of Ruedi's for me to make this book, and have it bilingual- in English & Hindi, with some French. In the Projects section, each case that I worked upon has been briefly represented with a description & work examples.

Alongside are some snapshots of my work at the studio, View the entire publication here.

The audience at crowded music festivals finds it cumbersome to access vital information effortlessly using their smartphones or brochures. A wearable device such as the Apple Watch nullifies the inconvenience of holding something tangible within your hands to interact with content.

Ultra Music Festival, Miami has an official iOS mobile app. We designed a WatchKit extension. Our design includes features built around the interactive gestures that the watch provides. This comprises of live lyrics, a lost friend finder, points of interest, reminders, and Lightsync- a new way to engage the audience.
